One of the key facts about the Great Fire of London is that the fire started in a bakery on Pudding Lane. The main character in the Great Fire of London text that has been central to the Year 2 topic this half-term is Jack, the Baker's son. Last week, the children took on the role of Jack and during their English lessons they wrote instructions for making the bread and then on Wednesday they followed their recipe to mix the ingredients and make the bread themselves.
