Wittenham Clumps

Year 1 visit Wittenham Clumps - Monday 17th July

Year 1 visited Wittenham Clumps, Earth Trust on Monday. They had a fabulous day in the sunshine and enjoyed investigating the weather on the ground and at the top of the hill. They did some wonderful field sketches and enjoyed finding different landmarks.

The ‘clumps’ of beech trees which crown both hills and give them their name – these are the oldest known planted hilltop beeches in England, dating back over 300 years!

A big thank you to all the parent helpers who joined us on the trip.
