As part of the History curriculum and Remembrance Day, the Year 2 children spent a morning at All Saints Church.

The Year 2 History topic for this half-term is 'History of Remembrance for Heroes and Heroines' and the children learned all about Heroes from the war in the lead up to Remembrance Day. On Monday 14th November the children walked down to All Saints Church to look around at the war memorials in church and take part in some Remembrance activities. They also looked at the war memorial on The Causeway and admired all the poppy wreaths that had been laid there the previous day. 

We would like to thank Reverend Dave, Reverend Kat and the team at All Saints for organising the activities and talking to the children and the parents who came and helped.
