The children from Year 1 came into school all dressed-up as real life superheroes, and they had a great Superhero Day. Their topic this half-term has been Superheroes, and they have learned  about a range of heroes from the past and recent past such as Florence Nightingale and Captain Tom

We had a special visit from real-life superheroes PCSO Agata Cydzik and Dr Newton. They talked to the children about their jobs ; the children were really engaged and had lots of questions to ask! Thank you to Dr Newton and PCSO Agata Cydzik, we are very grateful for the time you both spent with us.

The children then spent the rest of day designing a Superhero Headquarters, they had to work together in small groups to think of a mission and who they could help. There were some very interesting designs and missions! The children then built their headquarters with Lego in the afternoon.
