School Council Collective Worship
School Council lead school worship - 30th March
The School Council shared what they have done so far this year during school worship on 30th March. Some highlights of the year have been hosting a special Christmas lunch for the MDSAs, organising our Taste of Democracy Day and running charity collections for Poppy Appeal which raised £366.69, Christmas Jumper Day which raised £393 and a Harvest food collection for One Can Trust.
Earlier this year Mrs Reynolds asked the School Council to write a new School Prayer. The councillors decided they wanted to include each of the six school values in the prayer and worked with Mr Creese to create the prayer. They shared their finished prayer with the rest of the children during this school worship too. The prayer has now been printed out and will be displayed in each classroom as well as being used as part of collective worship.
Dear God,
Thank you for our friends and families
Thank you for the school and everyone in it
Thank you for the outdoor areas and our classrooms
Please help us to show understanding and respect for each other, and we ask that you help us to persevere with our learning
Thank you for filling us with kindness, so we can share it with others
Please help us to forgive others even when it is tricky
Thank you for our school values so that we can share them around the world.
Amen
