A Few Reminders
We hope that you have found the return to school with all the new routines fairly straightforward. We would just like to remind you of a few things:
Equipment
Please ensure that anything brought into school is named clearly. In particular if lunch boxes and snack pots could be named on the outside this would make it much easier to ensure everyone has the correct item.
Also, any such items being brought into school need to be washed and/or sanitised each morning.
As we are trying to minimise the amount of things transported to and from school we would remind parents that children should only bring the following items into school:
- lunchbox (if not having school lunch) this should preferably not be a fabric type lunch bag as we need to be assured that it has been thoroughly wiped and sanitised before being brought in to school
- fruit snack in a named container and clearly separate from packed lunch
- school water bottle, this should be filled with water and not juice.
- library bag on their library day
- coat children are outside for at least break and lunch every day and usually for part of lesson time as well. We will only keep children inside if it is raining heavily.
If you have mislaid your child's school water bottle or library bag you can purchase a replacement on ParentPay, only school logo water bottles should be coming in to school.
Changes to pick-up arrangements
Any changes to your child's pick-up arrangements should be communicated via the school office. You can call the school anytime before 2.45pm and leave a message on the voicemail box dedicated for these messages. If you need to make a change after 2.45pm please do not leave a message as it may not be picked up, instead call the office and speak to us in person.
Alternatively, and if the change is to be a regular arrangement, you can email the school office but please do this before 2.30pm as emails may not be picked up and forwarded to the class teacher after that time.
