A Few Reminders
We hope that you have found the return to school with all the new routines fairly straightforward. We would just like to remind you of a few things:
Equipment
As we are trying to minimise the amount of things transported to and from school we would remind parents that children should only bring the following items into school:
- lunchbox (if not having school lunch)
- fruit snack
- school water bottle
- library bag on their library day
- coat
Children should not bring any bags, pencil cases or other equipment or toys. Each child in Year 1 & 2 has been provided with their own, named, pencil case in school which has all the resources they need to use during the day and which remains on their desk. They do not need to bring their own pencils, pens etc.
We will be presenting certificates for Star Award, Learning Champions and Values Awards as usual, however these will stay in school until your child's library day when we will put them in their library bag to come home. If we have any other letters which need to be sent home rather than emailed to you these will also come home in library bags.
As a reminder library days are:
Reception - Friday, Year 1 - Monday, Year 2 - Tuesday
Hair & Jewellery
As per our school uniform policy, if your child's hair is shoulder length or longer it should be tied up every day for school. No jewellery is permitted to be worn in school at any time. Please ensure earrings are removed. We discourage the wearing of watches unless your child can tell the time and then they should be discrete in style.
Tissues
Each term we ask that each family donate a box of tissues to school. This means that you do not have to send tissues in with your child should they need them and that we always have a box available in class for the children. If you could add a box of tissues to your next shop and then drop them in to school that would be appreciated.
