As you know, our school value in focus this half-term is Service and this week our Year 2 were out in the community 'serving'. They certainly had a huge impact when they tidied, cleaned and planted in the May Balfour Gardens. The Mayor heard what they were up to and came to visit them! Next week, Reception will be helping to tidy up and plant in the All Saints churchyard.
I was so proud of our children when we visited Kew yesterday. We had so many compliments from members of the public about how well-behaved they were and how lovely it was to see them exploring the Gardens. Needless to say the children had a fabulous time as I am sure you will have heard.
I know that we are always reminding parents and visitors to the school site to wear their face coverings. These need to be proper coverings not the necks of jumpers/t shirts/scarves pulled over faces. As I am sure you are aware, the Delta variant is pretty prevalent in Marlow at the moment and we do want to be able to go ahead with all our end of year plans and not to have to close any of our bubbles. From Monday morning, I will be ensuring that everybody visiting the school site, follows the school Covid Risk Assessment by wearing a suitable face covering. This will mean that anybody not wearing a suitable face covering will not be allowed to come through the school gate. If you are exempt, please make your evidence easily visible. I would also like to remind you to not congregate at the school gates after drop off or pick up and to also please be mindful to follow current Government guidelines and consider the impact on the school community of your actions.
