As we know a lot can change in a week and even though we are in Lockdown, changes seems to keep on happening. We now know that the schools will not be fully opening after the half term break and that this situation will be reviewed later on in February. Disappointing news for all of us I know, but we will keep trying to make each week different from the last as far as the Remote Learning is concerned. We have had some great photos of what the children have been doing at home and in school, including the 'Day away from the screen day' and some of those are shared below.
Other changes this week include the weather - from snow, to rain , wind and the odd ray of sunshine. The school site looked sparkly on Monday morning - all we were missing were all of the children. I know all the children must have had great fun in the snow on Sunday and it will have brought a welcome break and an exciting change from the routine of recent weeks.
We are looking forward to our KS1 reading sessions that we are trialling over the next few weeks. We have prepared and hopefully got everything organised so , as long as the technology stays on our side, they look like they will be enjoyable for the children and the teachers.
Number Day is another exciting feature of next week's calendar and we will be raising money to support the wonderful work of the NSPCC. Please see below for details and for the link for the Virgin Money page.
I've been busy writing up recipes that my children used to love when they were infants for the Sandygate recipe book. A little bit late I know, but the PFA Committee have kindly let me off and have said if I get them to them over the weekend all will be fine - phew!
