I have enjoyed looking at the learning that the children have been doing at home and it is good to see how well they are settling into the new routine. The children in school have been just as busy and are busy accessing the same learning that the children at home are accessing.
There is a bit of a routine developing in school now and the remote learning is not so daunting for the teachers. They are working hard and adapting well to the changes in the way of teaching. I know your messages of support are well received and appreciated.
We loved the contact with the children during the Time to Talk sessions and we will be continuing these each week for the time being. Next week, there are different days and times to choose from and details of these sessions will be sent out in a separate email.
You will see that we are giving parents & carers the opportunity to attend a ‘Drop In’ session about Remote Learning on Monday morning. An email was sent out yesterday and there are more details below.
The Values displays are all complete in the Hall now and you will see from the photos below that they are beautiful – they have been created from work that children at home and in school have completed. They really brighten up my day when I walk through the Hall and all those values are just as relevant right now as they are when the school is full of children and times are more ‘normal’.
Finally, I would like to welcome Mrs Rogers, who joined the SEN team at the beginning of term. She will be working in Year 1 with individual and small groups of children. The Year 1 children will have already met her as part of their storytelling videos.
