Welcome to our new 'look'  newsletter - I hope that you agree that it is much clearer and smarter. It has been a steep learning curve finding out how to use the features of the new website over the last 7 days, particularly as it has been an extremely busy week!

Our aim is to develop the use of the website so that our messaging to parents and carers becomes more streamlined as time progresses.

The big news in school this week is the return of our Year 2 children. To see the smiles on their faces when they saw their friends and their excitement as they ran through the school gates was such a pleasure - it made all the preparations worthwhile.

Bubble Photographs

We are completing the photos at the moment and details of how to order and a proof of the photograph for your child's bubble will be sent out early next week. Our school photographers are also preparing 'class' photographs which will be in the form of a collage of the individual school photos taken last September. Details on how to order these will also be sent home next week. 

School App and Communications

We are working hard on getting our new school communications up and running to communicate with parents as efficiently as we can. In order to stay up to date with school news and events we would ask every parent to download the School News app. Details on how to do this can be found here on the school website.

The app will notify you of News items as they are posted on our website and also gives you access to the school calendar to check Events. Over the coming months this app should also allow you to book parents evenings and give trip consents and we will update you as this comes online.

Year 2 Transition

The Year 2 staff will be spending a lot of time working on transition with the children over the remaining time they are in school. They have already begun working on a 'Memory Box' poem and looking at how animals and people change. Next week they will have a 'virtual' meeting with the Head of School at Holy Trinity and Executive Head of  the Federation which will include a  tour of the school. We will also be arranging for them to speak to some current students at Holy Trinity.

We are in the process of planning a Leaver's service for the Year 2 children so that we can say our 'good-byes' properly.   Unfortunately at this moment in time,  we will not be able to have parents and carers present as we usually do but we are hoping to create a video which will include parts of the service and some clips of the children's last few weeks at Marlow Infants.

Staffing Team for 2020/21

There will be a few changes to our staffing for September as both Mrs Fearn and Mrs King will be on maternity leave at the start of the new academic year. We are also sad to say that one of our Midday Supervisors, Mrs Nuttall, will not be returning in September. We would like to thank her for all her hard work with our school.

We can confirm that we are fully staffed for September and staffing and classes will be organised as shown below.

We will be telling children next week which class they will be moving to in September.

PPA Cover and Supply Teachers

Mrs E Phillips provides teaching cover for classes across the school when teachers have their planning and/or leadership time. Mrs Moses and Mrs Guinness provide supply cover for staff absences across the school

SEN Team

The SEN team provide support across the whole school with individuals and groups of pupils.
