COVID -19 School Risk Assessment
We have worked hard to ensure that our school site is COVID secure and have used all the latest Government Guidance, our knowledge of the school site and understanding of the needs of our pupils, staff, parents and wider community to write our risk assessment. This risk assessment will be reviewed regularly and updated if necessary as a result of the review or if there are changes in Government Guidance.
At the start of the new academic year in September 2021 Marlow C of E Infant School has tried to reopen as close to 'pre-pandemic' as possible. We still remain vigilant and our risk assessment sets out the measures we have in place to keep pupils, staff and visitors safe, but we are no longer operating 'bubbles' and we are no longer staggering start and finish times. Whole school activities such as school collective worship have returned and children in different year groups are playing together again!
During the school day, children will be encouraged to wash their hands regularly, and we will clean contact points. Classrooms will be ventilated as much as possible either through keeping windows open or by 'purging' on a regular basis when classrooms would be too cold. We are also continuing to enforce the 'Catch it, Bin it, Kill it' advice to stop the spread of germs.
We are still asking parents to wear masks at events where there are large numbers are present such as class worship and parents evenings.
