On Tuesday, the Rights Respecting Schools Ambassadors led school worship and spoke to the rest of Key Stage 1 about Fairtrade Fortnight. This year, Fairtrade Fortnight takes place between 22nd September and Sunday October 5th..

The Ambassadors talked about how important it is for us to think about the people who make or grow the things that we buy in the shops. Fairtrade Fortnight encourages us to choose products that have been produced in a way that ensures that the people who make or grow them are treated fairly.  This includes giving them a fair wage and good working conditions.

The Rights Respecting Ambassadors looked at different food types and showed the rest of the children the Fairtrade Logo so that they knew what to look out for in the shops.
