This week we have been marking Parliament Week with a 'Taste of Democracy'.

This half term Year 1 have been studying real life superheroes and today they had a Superhero Day to celebrate their learning.

This week's article is linked to World Mental Health Day.  This is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organisation with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.

Each October, thousands of supporters come to celebrate this annual awareness program to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on peoples' lives worldwide.

Every child has the right to an education. Primary education must be free and different forms of secondary education must be available to every child. 

Article 29 – Goals of Education

Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full.
