Marlow Church of England Infant School

Reception Act of Service

This morning the children in Reception carried out their Act of Service at All Saints Church.

The children walked to All Saints this morning and spent an hour weeding and tidying in the churchyard. Revd Bull came out to see them and provided them all with a cold drink.

The children have learned that in Rwanda the whole community get together every month to help take care of the local area and fix any problems. This is called 'Umuganda'

The word Umuganda can be translated as 'coming together in common purpose to achieve an outcome'
