Easter Garden

The children in Reception have been planting an Easter Garden this week.

In there RE lessons they have been thinking about the cross and how Christians use the cross to celebrate Easter. Some of the questions they have been talking about are :

What happened on Good Friday? Why do hot cross buns have a cross on top? What does the cross remind Christians of? Why might Christians put a cross in their Easter garden? What do they want to remember?

Yesterday they planted a garden in the shape of a cross with primroses as a reminder to everyone in school of why we celebrate Easter.
