Marlow Church of England Infant School

Mini Eco Conference

Mini Eco Conference - Thursday 17th July

On Thursday afternoon, we hosted the Marlow Schools Mini Eco conference, a celebration of collaboration, achievement, and forward-thinking. Pupils from Holy Trinity and Borlase gathered in person to share the incredible initiatives they’ve undertaken throughout the year, each presentation filled with pride and purpose.

Our own eco-warriors stepped forward with confidence to highlight the impact of their environmental work. They spoke passionately about the development of our mini-orchard, the success of Walk to School Weeks, and the continuing development of our Wild World area, projects that not only encouraged sustainability but fostered a deeper connection to nature amongst our community.

The conference wasn’t just a reflection on progress, it was also an inspiring space to shape the future. Together, we outlined our intentions for the coming academic year, with two ambitious goals: raising awareness of water pollution in the River Thames, and celebrating its vibrant biodiversity. Through student-led action, thoughtful research, and community engagement, we aim to protect and cherish our local waterways, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship.

The afternoon was a testament to the power of young voices, and their ability to drive meaningful change. We left feeling energised, united, and excited about what comes next.
