Red Nose Day
Comic Relief: Red Nose Day - Friday 21st March
On Tuesday, Miss Cubbage and the school councillors led worship and spoke about Red Nose Day and why we wear red noses. Mabel said 'Red Nose Day is a day when people come together to raise money for charity and helping those in need. It’s all about having fun while making a difference.' Calum said 'Look at this - it's a red nose! When you buy one, you’re supporting Comic Relief and helping people in the
UK and around the world.'
We also had a very special visitor, Miss Le Page who works for the charity and kindly brought in some red noses for the children to see.
Today, children wore red accessories with their red uniform. It was lovely seeing more red than usual! Mrs Reynolds spoke to the children about Comic Relief and 6 lucky children were asked to stand up in front of the whole school to tell us a joke. They were awarded a red nose each for their efforts! All the children who brought in jokes were given a Red Nose sticker.
