We have a busy and very successful Parents & Friends Association at Sandygate who organise numerous events throughout the school year both to raise funds and equally to provide opportunities for parents and families to socialise.
The PFA hold regular meetings throughout the school term to which all are very welcome. In addition there are sub-committee meetings held when a large event is being organised, such as the Christmas Bazaar or May Fayre.
Without this support from the PFA many of the enrichment activities in school would not happen. The PFA underwrite the cost of coaches for all school trips which last year included trips to the Sealife centre at Brighton, Maidenhead Synagogue and the Natural History Museum. They also fund visitors in school to support topic work such as Birds of Bray, a travelling farm, a Great Fire of London day and Javanese musician Aris Daryono.
For the coming academic year the school have asked that in addition to suporting this curriculum enrichment the PFA raise funds for the purchase of a new library system.
We’re busy fundraising by collecting old British or foreign coins and notes, even obsolete currency.  Initially you'll see lots of posters around the school as well as the collection bucket. Once all the currency has been collected we send it to who exchanges it into cash we can use. The bucket will be here all year so keep it coming please.
Another easy way to help us raise funds is through EasyFundraising - raising money as you shop. With their donation reminder there is no need to change your shopping habits or to log in to a portal, shop as usual and when you visit a site that offers a donation the reminder pops up.
