There has been a lot of work going on over the past two terms on our outside environment at Marlow C of E Infant School and we have been taking advantage of every opportunity to take our learning outside the classroom.
The Wild World has been completely rejuvenated and offers endless learning opportunities - today the Reception classes have been on a bug hunt and Year 2 came out to look at flowers and the way they move to help in their creative writing. Some of Year 1 also came outside for their mindfulness session today.
We have also created a wonderful outside classroom near the Wild World where we have had a canopy installed with woven willow hurdle walls, benches and a fire pit. This was funded by a grant from the Government Healthy Pupils Fund (the 'Sugar Tax') which we were successful in gaining. This new learning space has already been used lots and we hope to use it even more over the coming weeks.
